File info[edit]
Caption | PROGRESS REPORT: This picture, taken on August 31, is published to give a clearer idea of the first stage of interior construction. If you will look particularly at the columns at the right, you will see how it has been necessary to cut away part of the concrete in order to apply the cast stone mosaics. More than 75 percent of the isolated round columns were finished by the middle of October. The recirculating ventilation ducts have been installed in the dome, and ducts are being installed on the ceiling below the first gallery. Conduit, wiring, etc., is being installed as the work progresses. |
