Caption 'When East and West Embrace' is the title given to this photograph, taken on Norway's National Day last May 17, by that country's National Spiritual Assembly, which says it describes the enthusiastic reception given Bahá'í refugees to Norway. The young woman on the left is a refugee from Iran; on the right is a Bahá'í youth from Gjøvik. Norway's 1985 summer school, says the National Assembly, was especially notable for the 'joyous integration' of new Persian pioneers.
