Caption Annual Thornton Chase Memorial service held, in memory of the first American Bahá'í, in California's Inglewood Park Cemetery on Sunday, October 3rd was attended by more than 350 Bahá'ís and guests. Children of different nationalities placed flowers at the grave, there were prayers and a Bahá'í choral selection as well as the reading of an account of the life of Thornton Chase.
