[edit]| Caption | In May 1979, during the National Bahá'í Convention in India, attendees were taken by buses to the site of the future House of Worship on the outskirts of New Delhi. Led by the Hand of the Cause of God Rahmatu'lláh Muhájir, prayers were said at the site, and the friends were able to see the progress being made in construction. During the Convention, when a message from the Universal House of Justice was read, calling for increased self-sufficiency on the part of national communities, the delegates arose spontaneously and contributed to the Fund enough money to underwrite the costs of the Convention. |
