The Teaching Conference held in Malacca in July 1957, was one of the earliest teaching conferences in the country. Seated second from left is Yankee Leong, third from left is Lena Saurajen, fourth from left is Shirin Fozdar, fifth from left is Dr K.M. Fozdar. Standing at the extreme right is Saurajen (first believer of Malacca town), and to his right are the brothers from the Bengali community in Malaysia- Tushar Kanti-Paul, Pijush Kanti Paul and Mirinal Kanti Paul. Kumara Das stands fifth from left, with Leong Tat Chee sixth from left.
