Caption The Panama-American daily newspaper published an article on December 1, 1966, concerning Bahá'í pioneering efforts of two American young ladies who spent several months teaching Indian children of the San Blas Comarca on the island of Manchucun. The article mentions their admirable adaptation to the living habits of the Indians, their success in being accepted by the Indians and the eagerness of the children to attend school and learn. Photos above show Linda Martin (left) and Susan Hoy (right), who taught the children, and in the center a group of San Blas Bahá'ís in their colorful native dress.
