| Caption | In-person gatherings were held according to safety measures required by the government. Since the event, government mandates now require the wearing of masks. Gezina Volmer, Director of the Bahá’í Office of External Affairs of the country, explains that preparatory meetings in the lead up to World Religion Day were necessary in order to build consensus among faith communities. “The very first meeting was simply about bringing people together,” says Ms. Volmer. “It wasn’t more complicated than that. Because, if we don’t know how to come together, then this is the first step.” |
