In the front row (left to right) are Shazin Roussoukh, a Bahá’í who was visiting Japan; Marife Yazdani, a pioneer to Utsunomiya; and a seeker, Yoshie Kawakami. Daryoush and Marife Yazdani, a pioneer couple who are the only Bahá’ís in Utsunomiya, Japan, a city of 350,000, have been hosting well-attended monthly firesides in their home. The gathering on July 3 was attended by five seekers including the sister of the city's mayor. The guest speaker was Dr. Toshio Susuki, secretary of the National Spiritual Assembly of Japan. |
