Caption On October 9, President Ezra Taft Benson (second from right) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) received a copy of 'The Promise of World Peace' from Judge James F. Nelson (second from left), chairman of the U.S. National Spiritual Assembly. Also taking part in the ceremony at the Church's headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah, were Gordon B. Hinkley (left) and Thomas S. Monson, counselors to Mr. Benson. During the meeting, which lasted nearly half an hour, Mr. Benson gave Judge Nelson a copy of the book The Mormons. A press conference followed at which Judge Nelson spoke with a reporter from the Associated Press and representatives of local radio and television stations.
