Caption This Bahá'í float was seen by the more than 50,000 people who thronged the streets of Chico, California, for the annual Pioneer Day Parade. The parade last May was also televised locally, increasing the viewers substantially. The float was constructed by the Bahá'ís of Chico. The heads fastened on the model of Earth represent the different races of mankind. This motif was also applied to a Bahá'í booth on display at the concurrent Silver Dollar Fair, one of the largest fairs in northern California.
