Norton (left), chancellor of the University of Maryland system, and Dean Murray Polakoff of the University of Maryland’s School of Social and Behavioral Sciences to begin endowment of the Bahá’í Chair for World Peace at the university’s Center for International Development and Conflict Management. On January 26, the National Spiritual Assembly and University of Maryland signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the Bahá’í Chair. (See article and photographs on pages 8-9.)
