File info[edit]
Caption | Bahá’í Temple. A Temple for man’s worship of God. The Bahá’í House of Worship at Wilmette, Illinois, is a great circular building with nine entrances and circular steps which if laid end to end would cover two and one—half miles. The building and landscaping have cost $2,600,000 and represent the sacrifice of Bahá’ís not only in the United States but also gifts from Bahá’ís abroad. It was dedicated May 2, 1953, as a high light of the Centenary celebrations of the Bahá’í Faith. |
